| The theme exhibition, “The Charm of Mortise and Tenon”, is one of the series of exhibitions which focus on ancient Chinese science and technology, and was independently developed by China Science and Technology Museum. This exhibition takes the mortise and tenon as the theme, and aims to disseminate ancient Chinese science and technology, inherit cultural heritage and carry forward the spirit of craftsmen by displaying the origin, application and modern inheritance of mortise and tenon technology. In this paper, the curatorial intention of this exhibition is discussed from several aspects, such as exhibition topics selecting, content framework confirming as well as exhibits designing and installing. It highlights the curatorial thought of combining science and technology with culture and art. |
