互动体验与数学抽象——德国吉森数学博物馆的展示实践分析

摘要:
德国吉森数学博物馆作为世界上最早的数学科学中心之一,提出并实践了“可触摸的数学”理念,通过系统化的互动展品设计降低了公众进入数学抽象结构的初始门槛。本文在介绍该馆理念与展示策略的基础上,结合椭圆、极小曲面与分形等典型展品案例,分析互动体验在不同数学层级中引导理解的作用及其边界。研究表明,互动体验能够有效激发数学兴趣与问题意识,但并不能替代理论阐释与形式化理解,其展示实践可为中国未来建设具有本土数学文化特色的数学博物馆提供有益启示。

Abstract:
As one of the world's earliest mathematical science centers, the Gieen Mathematics Museum (Mathematikum) in Germany proposed and implemented the concept of “touchable mathematics”, systematically designing interactive exhibits to lower the initial barrier for the public to accessing abstract mathematical structures. Based on an introduction to the museum's philosophy and exhibition strategies, this paper analyzes the role and limitations of interactive experience in guiding understanding across different levels of mathematics, taking typical exhibits such as the ellipses, minimal surfaces, and fractals as case studies. The research shows that while interactive experiences can effectively stimulate interest and awareness of problems in mathematics, they cannot replace theoretical interpretation and formal understanding. The museum's exhibition practices offer valuable insights for the future development of mathematics museums in China that reflect distinctive local mathematical cultural characteristics.
