| With the shift to the new museological concept of “audience-centred”, the audience’s cultural needs and willingness to participate have become increasingly stronger. With the emergence of new museum forms centred on digital technology, the metaverse has become a new pathway for advancing museum development. Taking “remediation” as the analytical entry point, this paper examines the reconstruction of the concept of museum space in the form of the metaverse to help the audience obtain an embodied experience with the body as the cognitive carrier. It further explores the construction of a new relationship between the audience and the museum based on space, body and emotion under the intervention of the metaverse technology. |
