| In the post-pandemic era, it has become a pressing issue for museums that how to secure more support from policy makers for their sustainable development. For John Falk, the key to solving this problem is to articulate the value of museums in a clear and concrete way, which is the main content of his book, The Value of Museums:Enhancing Social Well-Being. This book review delves into the well-being system, elaborating on Falk's understanding of well-being, the value of museums within the well-being system, and the monetization of museum value. Building on this, this paper embeds the well-being system within the developmental trajectory of Falk's personal academic perspectives, exploring the relationship between the theoretical framework, visitor motivations and experiences. |
