导师阿尔希那实验室科学教育理念初探

20世纪初,西班牙发明家费朗·阿尔希那·帕莱雅达在位于巴塞罗那的私人宅邸中,建造了名为“导师”的互动实验室。他基于人类社会必将走向电气化的判断,以及工程师群体认为电气化将重塑人类社会的共识,尝试将德国柏林“乌拉尼亚”科学中心的成功经验,与爱尔兰物理学家约翰·丁达尔面向公众进行实验物理演示的理论体系结合,进行了创立科学中心的早期探索。本文从“导师”实验室诞生的时代背景出发,分析其教育理念的源流,并探索阿尔希那离世后,这一机构更名为“导师阿尔希那”实验室继续运作的历程,以及它未能发展壮大的原因。

A Preliminary Exploration of the Philosophy of Science Education of the Mentora Alsina

Abstract:
At the beginning of the 20th century, the Spanish inventor Ferran Alsina i Parellada built a scientific experiment demonstration agency named “Mentora” in his private residence in Barcelona. Based on the belief that human society was bound to become electrified, and the consensus of the engineer community that electrification would reshape human society, he made an early attempt to establish a science center. In the “Mentora”, Alsina tried to combine the successful experience of the “Urania” science center in Berlin, Germany with Irish physicist John Tyndall’s theoretical system of experimental physical demonstrations for the public. This paper analyses the origin of the educational philosophy of the “Mentora” laboratory in the context of the time of its birth. It also explores how the institution continued to operate after Alsina's death under the name “Mentora Alsina” laboratory, and why it did not flourish.
