| In contemporary society, museums have become a place of great potential due to their complex features in social, cultural, economic and identity orientations. Under this context, the concepts of “design museum” or “museum design” goes beyond the explicit level of physics and architecture, while other invisible levels, including museums' operation, content, technology, service and responsibility, are integrated into ongoing discussions. The book, Museum design:Ideas, Tones and other Considerations, discusses the connotation of “museum design” in a broad sense from aspects of museum architecture, information dissemination, exhibition narration, presentation of thorny memories, community participation and multiculturalism. It also provides some inspirations for museums and provoke thinking on the possibility of the development of museums in the future. |
