| As an early science and technology museum in China, the research on the Transport Museum in the Republic of China has the dual significance of museum history and modern science and technology history. The Transport Museum was established in 1912, affiliated to the Ministry of Transport. It was officially opened to the public in 1914 and was transferred to the Peking Railway Management College of Jiaotong University in 1928. Its establishment and rise and fall reflect the characteristics and fate of early Chinese museums and early industrial development. |
