教育改革视野下美国探索馆兴起的历史动因新解读

摘要:
美国探索馆作为科技博物馆发展历程第三阶段的里程碑,一直被誉为科学中心的圣地,吸引了众多关注的目光。既往对探索馆的研究,大都是基于博物馆本位的,无法完全彰显其在科学教育改革进程中的意义。本文试图把探索馆的创建置于20世纪60年代科学教育改革的历史场景中考察,既有助于更深刻地理解探索馆,也有助于更好地彰显其教育价值。

Abstract:
As a milestone at the third stage of science and technology museums' development, Exploratorium has been praised as a shrine of science centers and attracting a lot of attention. Most of the previous researches related to the Exploratorium were from the perspective of museology, which cannot fully show its significance in the educational reform process. This article attempts to examine the establishment of the Exploratorium in the historical context of education reform in the 1960s. By doing so, a deep understanding to the Exploratorium will be reached and its educational value will be better demonstrated.
